This years event was hosted by the Afghanistan Marble Industry Association (AMIA) and the Afghanistan Ministry of Mines, the Afghanistan International Marble Conference has been scheduled for May 25-27, 2011, in Herat, Afghanistan.

The event was attended by international investors, Afghan quarry and processing operators, industry experts, local and international business and government leaders.

While there attendees discovered investment and partnership opportunities and learned about important trends in Afghanistan’s fast-growing marble sector. They were also educated on the latest information regarding significant improvements in the regulatory environment; met with key producers and potential joint-venture partners.

The conference brought together resources on the latest technology, equipment and training innovations, as well as available financing and investment support. Afghanistan offers hundreds of varieties of high quality stone and marble from one of the richest asset bases in the world!
